About Norton Consulting Engineers

George Norton, the owner, and principal engineer has over 40 years in the construction and engineering fields. Mr. Norton received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Villanova University. He has practiced in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and has practiced in the metro Washington DC area since 2005. He is licensed in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Connecticut. The practice consists of new structure design, construction administration, as well as a comprehensive experience in structural damage assessment and required remediation design.

Mr. Norton’s extensive experience as a building professional gives him a unique knowledge of structures, enabling him to bring practical engineering to projects, that is efficient, and cost-effective. This experience equates to cost-savings with the structural design resulting in reduced construction costs, essential to project budgets.
